Joe Armentano is the son of company founder Pat Armentano and literally grew up in the family business. He joined the company in 1976 after graduating with a BS in Business Administration from Fordham University. He went on to earn an MBA in Finance from Iona College in 1988. Joe has served as past president of the New York State Propane Gas Association and has previously served as the chairman of the prestigious Propane Education and Research Council (PERC).
John Armentano is also a son of company founder Pat Armentano and has been with the company since joining in 1986 after graduating from Mercy College. In addition to his work with Paraco, John serves on the Board of Directors for the Propane Gas Association of New England and is an active member of the NPGA Marketers Forum.
With over 30 years of experience, Dave brings a strategic perspective to the Paraco Gas executive team stemming from his breadth of knowledge of all aspects of running large organizations. Dave is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and Operations, working with Paraco CEO Joseph Armentano and the team to set forth the future strategy of the company. His responsibilities will include preparing for and driving growth for the company in all market segments.
Dave is originally from Boston, Mass., where he grew up helping his dad and brothers run a small heating oil business. He has previous experience working at companies such as Pepsi Cola and Nestlé Waters, where he was the Executive Vice President and General Manager for their $700MM home and office water route business. Most recently, Dave worked for Schwan Food Company, a $1 billion frozen food delivery business, as President of their Home Services Division.
Christina is 3rd generation with Paraco Gas. She is responsible for identifying and managing growth opportunities. Additionally, she is tasked with creating opportunities in new markets to improve competitive positioning, as well as drive profitability. Christina spent the early part of her career with a global consulting firm, leading talent acquisition for Fortune 500 organizations. Christina is actively involved in New York State Propane Gas Association and Propane Gas Association of New England. Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University and MBA from Babson College.
Mike Gioffre serves Paraco by leading our joint venture efforts in the Southeast that have allowed Paraco to expand into the motor fuel market nationally. Mike has been an active member in the propane industry and has led the New York State Propane Gas Association Marketing Committee. He also served as CEAC chairman for the Propane Education and Research Council. Mike graduated from Springfield College in 1985 and joined Paraco in 1993.
Dan Kostecki joined Paraco Gas in July of 2014 with a background that included more than twenty years of management and sales experience. Dan served as a Northeast Regional Sales Manager at ADT Security Services, where he managed both commercial and residential sales teams throughout the Northeast. Dan won multiple awards with ADT; most recently his team finished both 2012 and 2013 as the #1 team in the company. Dan also owned his own networking business, which specialized in networking for high-end residential homes and small businesses. Prior to entering the technology field he also owned a small chain of four restaurants.
Heather brings 20 years of both US and Non US experience to her role as VP of Human Capital Management, participating in setting organizational direction, translating business objectives into HR strategies driving results and engaging employees at all levels to meet the needs of the business. In her current role at Paraco Gas, she provides oversight for human resources, leadership development and program design which align with talent management.
Prior to joining Paraco, Heather worked for Liquidnet Holdings, DDB Worldwide and Information Resources.
Chuck Schwartz joined Paraco in 2007 after serving as CFO at several public companies. Chuck currently serves as a member of the AICPA and the NYSSCPA. He is a graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College.
Dave joined the Paraco family in June, 2010. He is a Commercial Driver’s License holder for (over) 20 years. His career experience includes various Transportation Operations and Safety roles in both Canada and the United States. He is also a member of the Safety and Training working group of the PERC Advisory Committee and a volunteer FireFighter in Long Island, NY, where he has served as a Chauffeur Trainer for all types of Emergency Apparatus, and regularly instructs Fire Department and Propane Emergencies Training Programs. David is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with Bachelor Degrees in Science and Commerce.
Mr. O’Shea joined the Paraco team in May 2003. He has structured and implemented a technology plan designed to achieve Paraco’s objectives, including the transitioning of all MIS functions of Paraco’s new acquisitions. Prior to joining the company, Mr. O’Shea was Director of Information Systems for Castle Oil Corporation, where he held several management positions in finance, tax and accounting. Mr. O’Shea graduated from Fordham University in 1987 with a BS degree in Finance and received an MBA in Finance from Iona College in 1992.
Since joining the company in an acquisition in 1989, Mr. Ravo has held positions that include Administration Manager, District Sales Manager and District Operations Manager. Mr. Ravo’s early professional background was in the industrial gas business, where he rose to the position of Operations Manager. His current duties include contracting and managing propane purchases, managing Paraco’s bulk wholesale division, setting up and running the company’s year-end physical inventory and setting up yearly propane parts purchases. Mr. Ravo also manages all the logistics and parts purchasing for Paraco’s Grill Cylinder business segment.
