Purchase, NY, November 2006 – Paraco Gas Corporation, one of the largest independent propane retailers in the Northeast, has acquired the propane operations of Rounds Propane in Brackney, Pennsylvania.
This acquisition represents approximately 1,200,000 gallons and includes 2,200 residential and commercial customers. These customers will be serviced out of the existing Rounds plant/office in Brackney, Pennsylvania.
Rounds Propane was established in 1979 by Donald Rounds as a 100-lb. bottle exchange business. It was sold in 1990 to Donald’s daughter Karen and her husband, David Stanley. Soon thereafter, the Stanleys purchased a bobtail and began to deliver bulk propane. The Stanleys will continue to work part-time for Paraco Gas and plan to spend the balance of their time enjoying retirement. All existing Rounds employees have been welcomed onto the Paraco team.
